FAQ's about Atlas Orthogonal

Frequently Asked Questions about
A tlas Orthogonal Chiropractic –

Is Atlas Orthogonal safe for me and my children?
Absolutely! The Atlas Orthogonal adjustment applies only a few ounces of pressure to the upper neck, barely enough for you to feel. Yet the changes made to your spine are tremendous.

In fact, we highly recommend children begin care as soon as possible, so that they may avoid some common ailments of childhood as well as problems in their adult life.

We find that too many parents leave their children home, only to develop the same problems that they suffer with today.

How does this unique method differ from more traditional styles of chiropractic?
One of the most obvious differences is the gentle, painless way in which it works. No strenuous manipulation is ever employed or needed.

The Atlas Orthogonal method requires such light touches to the affected area that patients, who may expect more forceful manipulations as part of their care, find it hard to believe that anything effective has been accomplished. Their doubts and fears vanish when their health and life begin to improve.

How does this gentle adjustment work?
The Atlas Orthogonal Doctor works in a way which speeds and encourages the body's own healing process. The doctor aids that process by gently adjusting the Atlas Vertebrae back toward normal alignment, thus helping the entire body. The patients, men, women and children, soon realize that health care need not be harsh or painful to be effective. Prevention and early detection of misalignments through regular check-ups are key to natural health.

Who can benefit from Atlas Orthogonal care?
Anyone can benefit from Atlas Orthogonal care. Since the nerve system is the central core of the human body, it is vitally important that the spinal column is aligned properly.

This allows your nerve system to operate without the damaging interference caused by spinal misalignments.

Periodic evaluations ensure that your nerve system is functioning at its best, even though there are no apparent signs of trouble.

How is my care determined?
Your care plan will be specifically tailored to your spinal needs and is based upon the information gathered by the doctor. This information is gained through a personal consultation with the doctor, followed by an exam and x-rays.

Then, based on the findings, the doctor creates a Spinal Stabilization Plan that is designed to realign your spine and thus take the pressure off your nerve system and allow it to function properly.

Just as no two spines are the same, no two plans will be the same either.

Are x-rays necessary?
Yes. It is very important that certain x-rays or pictures of your spine are made. BJ Palmer said, "To see is to know; to not see is to guess." At Dr. David A. Zemba, Jr., Inc., we will never guess about your health. With extensive x-ray training, the doctor is able to obtain the x-rays safely and effectively.

How long will my care last?
Good question. It all depends on what it is that you want from the doctor when you visit our office. The recommendations and plan are based upon the doctor's educational and clinical experience. However, you are ultimately in charge of your care. You determine how much or how little you want. What we find is that those who follow through with care heal much faster and have fewer recurrences. There are other benefits to finishing the care package too that the doctor can explain during a consultation.
